About

The CMU Originals began in January 1996 when Ken Flagg, an industrious CMU student, displeased by the lack of a cappella on campus and his sleeping bagger, Jared Moskowitz, made a pact to start an a cappella group upon the later's entry to Carnegie Mellon. Inspired by a local hot dog joint, the group's musicality, and the disposition of its members, the group was appropriately named The Originals.
